His work on campuses has grown so that in addition to doing stand-up comedy, he has become a popular lecturer on campuses with his lecture "Out in Hollywood: Making it to the Middle". He was featured this spring at Texas A & M International's "Rainbow Unity" Conference, and at Western Kentucky University's "Come OUT Kentucky" Conference. "COMING OUT IN HOLLYWOOD: MAKING IT TO THE MIDDLE"-

In addition to being an uproarious comic and character actor, the demand for Jason's signature Q & A has led to a real interest for an extended close-up view.

Jason is now available as a lecturer with "Comung Out in Hollywood: Making it to the Middle." The lecture includdes a short video presentation of his work as an actor/comic on major films and TV shows. It addresses his experience, his being a weelspring of hope, coming out in the entertainment industry, and what it was like being a gay offspring growing up within a Jewish family.

Jason shatters the shallowness of Tinseltown and has the ability to speak from his heart with humor and compassion, and in a transformative fashion builds the resolve of LGBT and questioning youth and wins the souls of prospective allies.

JASON STUART:  GAY ACTOR PLAYS STRAIGHT

JASON STUART is playing against type in the new comedy series WARREN THE APE. This openly gay actor is playing it straight as Ira, the cellmate of a sock puppet celebrity, who is accused of being a skinhead when he’s really a Jewish accountant. The “Anger Management” episode, where Warren ends up in prison after destroying a miniature golf course, airs Monday Aug. 16 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

Stuart was recently seen on THE CLOSER and IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILDELPHIA.  He just completed the indie film WALK A MILE IN MY PRADAS and is currently shooting FINDING MR. WRIGHT and Stand-In.

Next up for Stuart is his online chat show, NAME-DROPPING WITH JASON STUART, debuting Aug 5 on Logo Online, in the “After Elton” section of the website Every month there will be a new guest. The show is The Actors Studio meets Comics Unleashed meets imdb.com, an inside look at the actors, comedian and singers we love. First up is Emmy-winner Leslie Jordan  (Will & Grace and Sordid Lives). Future guests will include Peter Paige (Queer As Folk) and Jon Polito (from many of the Coen Bros. films).

Jason is a powerful advocate for the LGBT Community. Looking to encourage greater inclusion and more work opportunities for other openly gay actors, he started the Screen Actors Guild LGBT Committee for out actors in 2006. The committee has been active in a number of areas and has sponsored out actor panels, screenings and festivals. It works hard on equal opportunities for LGBT actors on all levels of union business.

Most recently Jason provided his insight and expert analysis in an editorial response to a widely noted and discussed article in Newsweek. The article which was written by an openly gay man stated that “gay actors cannot play it straight” and his comments immediately sparked a firestorm of interest and criticism across the country.

His editorial ran in, or was quoted by, The Huffington Post, Variety, LA Weekly, Frontiers and Backstage. Jason wrote, “As an out professional actor and National Chair of the Screen Actors Guild National LGBT Actors Committee, I reject the notion that openly gay actors are restricted in the roles they can play, and I am proud that so many people, gay and straight, have spoken out about the Newsweek article to say the same.”
